I was born in Leningrad in 1989. Most part of my life I lived in Skopin, Ryazan region. This beautiful and old town is the heart of legendary Skopin ceramics and one of Russian centers of folk artistic crafts. It is very unique corner of our country.
I decided to become an artist before I started school. So basically I always knew that I will be an artist. My family has influenced my life path. My mother is an award winning pottery artist, and my father is icon-painter. The world of art was close to me from the day I was born, I grew up surrounded by different art objects. My family travelled a lot, we visited so many museums and historical places and always visited other artists, met their families and I saw how they lived. At home we had amazing collection of art books and I always loved to study them.
It was quite natural that I started to paint very early. My parents would give me huge rolls of paper and crayons and I had so much fun. My mother and father always supported and inspired me.
I went to art school and then to Vasnetsov Art College. Colorful and rich variety of mother’s ceramic shapes, textures and ideas have captured my mind, and at first I chose ceramics department. But very soon I realized that my real calling is paining. So I started all over. I was very lucky as painting department was headed by a very strong and talented teacher. Studying at this department was very tough but interesting. And I am so grateful for this “school of life”.
Langue of my painting is a combination of my happy childhood and difficult but exciting years of studying. I love to paint with oil. It is my favorite technique. I adore colors and textures in painting.
Everything that inspires and amazes me I try to express on canvas. An idea in painting is very important to me. I think that an art should carry light, kindness and love and take a person to a brighter side. It is the most import thing to me in the art I chose.
I take part in different Russian and international exhibitions since 2004. My personal exhibitions have started in 2014.
